Description:

Today's stage will take you to visit one of the most picturesque places in Cilento, the beautiful Gole del Calore. You start from the center of Felitto, where you take a trail that initially descends, then continues on a level path along a wall that was built to channel the waters for an old, now disused mill. With a short detour before continuing the path to Remolino, it's possible to visit the mill. From here, the path continues along the wall, leading to the Remolino area after about a kilometer. Along the way, you can observe the unique rock formations, known as "marmitte," carved by the flow of water and the force of the wind. Upon reaching Remolino, the path continues until you reach the "Pietratetta" Bridge, a unique natural bridge formed by the interlocking of two enormous rocks that allows crossing from one bank to the other of the river. After visiting the bridge, you continue until you reach the Medieval Bridge of Magliano, a historic humpback bridge that marks the entrance to the Calore River Gorges. After a break on the riverbanks and a packed lunch, you return to Felitto. Round trip distance approximately 14 km.
