The railway line along the Via Silente is a valuable resource for cyclists. With twelve stations available along the route, it facilitates travel and provides a backup plan in case of adverse weather or physical conditions. Regional trains always include a bike carriage, usually located at the rear of the train. 

The nearest railway station to the starting point of the Via Silente is Vallo Lucania – Castelnuovo, just 4.5 km from the information point in Velina. This ensures convenient access to transportation for cyclists, allowing for flexibility and alternative solutions when needed.

In addition to these 12 stations, all located along the coastal stretch, in the upper part of the Via Silente, there is the railway station of Sicignano degli Alburni, situated on the Battipaglia-Potenza-Metaponto line.
